School of Climate Change and Sustainability This will be an advanced research institute that will be hosted at Tiigo, North Horr, in partnership with Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), one of the global leaders in climate change research and sustainability studies and innovation.
The centre will pioneer scalable research in climate adaptation, early warning, drylands agriculture, sustainable pastoralism and integration of Industry 4IR – Ai, IOT, machine learning, e.t.c – into climate change adaptation. This will be modelled along a similar school – the School of Sustainability and Climate Change at Ben Gurion University of the Negev.
It will offer academic programs that combine theoretical knowledge with practical applications, focusing on key sustainability challenges, such as: Climate Change Resilience, Biodiversity Conservation & Restoration, Agroecology & Sustainable Agriculture, Water and Soil Management, Circular Economy & Sustainable Business, Environmental Education & Behavioral Change.
It will also develop living and applied research projects in collaboration with external stakeholders for graduate students.
